Part of Hello Kitty Island Adventure is getting to know a host of Sanrio characters. Wish Me Mell is one of those characters, but it takes you a while to meet her because she’s been busy.
In this case “busy” is probably an understatement. Check out Merry Meadows and see how Wish Me Mell is faring.
Prerequisites For ‘Friend Of The Flowers’ Quest
There are a few conditions you’ll have to meet before you can receive this quest:
Have access to the Merry Meadows.
Complete the ‘Green Thumbs‘ quest.
Complete ‘Terra Nul: Part 1’ and ‘Terra Nul: Part 2’.
Wait at least one real-life day.
Talk to Wish Me Mell to begin the quest. Unless you have an in-progress quest, she should be waiting to the right of the Merry Meadows Fields fast-travel waypoint.
Talk To My Melody
If there’s anyone on Friendship Island who always seems to be busy, it’s My Melody. She’s the perfect person to ask for advice on how to manage too many tasks.
Once you talk to Wish Me Mell, she’ll automatically follow you. Meet up with My Melody at her shop, Small Gift Big Smile. My Melody will suggest getting help to water the plethora of flowers in Merry Meadows.
My Melody reveals that her idea was to ask the Nuls for help, but the watering cans are too large for the Nuls. She suggests that you talk to Tuxedosam for some ideas to help solve the issue.
Tuxedosam has an idea to help right away, and hands over a crafting recipe for a Sprinkler Hat.
Craft The Sprinkler Hat
It’s your job to craft the Sprinkler Hat from Tuxedosam’s recipe. You can craft it from any crafting bench on Friendship Island.
The main ingredients you’ll need are:
- 1 Box Clam
- 5 Worm Tails
- 5 Mechanisms
You’ll need to have 15 Gizmos in order to craft the 5 Mechanisms.
Talk to Wish Me Mell once you’ve crafted the Sprinkler Hat. She should be back in Merry Meadows near the Merry Meadows Fields waypoint.
You’ll need to find a Nul to give it the new hat. There should be one just up the path to the right of Wish Me Mell. The Nul should have a blue exclamation point above its head.
Approach the Nul and select the hat icon in the lower right portion of your screen to interact with the Nul. Select the Sprinkler Hat from options that appear.
The quest will complete at this point, but if you want the Nul to water flowers on particular days, talk to the Nul and request that it waters the flowers. The Sprinkler Hat will allow a Nul to water one biome.
If you have multiple biomes that need this feature, you will need to make enough hats to equal the number of biomes where Nuls should water plants. If you have 3 biomes that need watering, for example, you’ll need a total of 3 hats.
