Sanrio characters are full of charm and personality in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Seeing them happy is fun, so of course we’d help Hello Kitty surprise Dear Daniel, right?
To plan a surprise, Hello Kitty will need your help. Don’t have this quest, but want to know how to get it? Check out the prerequisites for some guidance.
Prequisites For The Relationship Goals Quest
To get the ‘Relationship Goals’ quest, you’ll need to have Dear Daniel as a resident. This means that he has permanently (unless you kick him off the island) moved in.
His status under the visitor section of your menu will show the cabin he’s staying in, and if you select the circle with the “i” in it for more information he’ll be listed as a resident.

You’ll also need the following:
- Access to use a crafting bench.
- Access to use an oven.
- Access to Seaside Resort.
- Complete the ‘Power Up The Gate’ quest.
Talk To Hello Kitty
The first order of business for this quest is to chat with Hello Kitty to find out exactly what she needs you to do. She should be inside her café with a blue exclamation point above her head.
Once you’ve found out what Hello Kitty needs, talk to Dear Daniel. You’ll find out that Dear Daniel also needs your help.
The next thing you’ll need to do is talk to My Melody. You now have the perfect opportunity to plan a special outing for both Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel.
Talk To My Melody
My Melody should be waiting for you in her shop, Small Gift Big Smile. Chat with her to let her know the situation, and to ask for some guidance.
My Melody has some ideas on how to make the special outing more memorable. You’ll need to come up with some items while My Melody works on her own contributions.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 2 Gift boxes (basic, the white one with red ribbon)
- 1 Mama’s Apple Pie
The full list of ingredients you’ll need is as follows:
- 2 Box Clams
- 2 Starfish
- 1 Apple
- 1 Flour
When you’ve collected everything you need, use the gifting function to give the items to My Melody. You’ll have to use the gift function two times since you can only give one type of gift at a time.
Talk to Hello Kitty And Dear Daniel
Everything is setup, so now it’s time to coordinate with Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel, while trying to keep things a surprise. Follow them to the pier overlooking Rainbow Reef.
Talk with Hello Kitty once you get to the pier. After some dialogue you’ll need to take a picture and save it. You can then talk to Hello Kitty again to complete the quest.
