One of the Sanrio characters you’ll find in Hello Kitty Island Adventure is Tuxedosam, a blue penguin who is in charge of keeping everyone in their favorite fashions. As you become better friends with him, you’ll get this ‘Mermaidified Fashion’ quest.
How to Get The ‘Mermaidified Fashion’ Quest
- Have Tuxedosam at friendship level 12.
- Complete the Deep Diving quest from Kuromi.
- Complete Hangyodon’s Comic Relief quest.
Once you reach friendship level 12 with Tuxedosam, he’ll automatically have a quest ready for you. Talk to him to begin the quest.
Talk to Chococat
You’ll need to talk to Chococat once you’ve accepted the ‘Mermaidified Fashion’ quest. He should be by his tent unless you have another quest in-progress with him.
Once you talk to Chococat, he’ll give you a list of fish to obtain. Here’s what you’ll need:
2 Citrusfin
2 Bog Clamfish
2 Opal Flutterfin
2 Banded Spelunker
Use the gift function to hand over all the fish to Chococat. Once you do that, you’ll need to meet him and Tuxedosam over at the Mermaidifier.
| There may be a visual glitch at this point that makes Chococat invisible. You should still be able to walk around at the Mermaidifier until the Chococat bubble shows in the bottom right of your screen. Once it shows up, select it to speak with Chococat and he should appear in the next scene. He should remain visible after the scene. |
Interact With The Mermaidifier
You should have a new hanger icon at the Mermaidifier. When you are close enough, you’ll see a mermaid tail bubble in the lower right of your screen.
Select the mermaid tail to access the Mermaidifier interface. From here you’ll be able to choose a customized outfit that will automatically be equipped whenever you swim or dive into the water.
Interact with the Mermaidifier and set up whatever outfit you’d like to set for your diving excursions. After you’ve done that, talk to Chococat to complete the quest.
