Disney Dreamlight Valley is celebrating the Memory Mania Event from September 19, 2026 to September 29, 2026. Even if you’ve completed the event last year, you’ll be able to get a new reward this year.

Prerequisites For The ‘Memory Mania Event’
To take full advantage of the Memory Mania Event this year, you’ll need to have the Disney character Joy unlocked. If you don’t have Joy unlocked yet, you can follow this guide.
How To Participate In The “Memory Mania Event”
To participate in the Memory Mania Event, you’ll be able to:
- Do special event quests to solve the mysteries.
- Complete event duties.
- Search the valley and realms for collectible items.
Talk to Joy to get the initial Memory Mania Event quest, “Memory Mania: Mystery #1”. Login each day to see if Joy has another mystery quest to solve. There are 4 quest total in the event quest chain.
| As long as you pick up the first quest for the event, you should be able to finish the quest chain to complete the final mystery-related quest, even after the event ends. |
If you already completed the past event duties, you won’t need to worry about collecting items this time. You can focus on doing Joy’s quests instead.
Memory Mania Event Duties
There are no new Memory Mania event duties this year. If you missed previous Memory Mania events, you’ll still be able to access past duties.
The duties from past events involve collecting special items that appear around the valley and in realms to get Memory Orbs and complete memories.

Memory Mania: Mystery #1
The first thing you’ll want to do is talk to Joy to officially begin the quest. She’ll explain that something odd is happening in Remote Headquarters.
You’ll need to meet her in Remote Headquarters (her house) and talk to her again. She’ll explain that she feels like something is missing from the room.
She’ll give you a Memory Orb to help you figure out what’s missing. You’ll need to “use” the orb from your inventory to view the memory.
You can then look at the memory again if you need to by checking the “Memories” section of the “Collection” tab in the main menu. It will be listed in the “Event” section of memories.
Missing Object Answer
The tissue box is missing from the left side of the door when facing the entryway wall.
Once you’ve determined what is missing by looking at the Remote Headquarters wall and the picture in “Memories”, talk to Joy. You’ll need to interact at the location where the object disappeared.
Then, pick up the object to view the clue. You should have obtained a Mysterious Black Feather.
Talk to Joy to show her what you’ve found. This will complete the first mystery quest.
Memory Mania: Mystery #2
Talk to Joy to begin the ‘Memory Mania: Mystery #2’ quest. She’ll explain that something disappeared from Goofy’s house.
Meet Joy inside Goofy’s house to investigate the situation. Talk to Joy once you’re in Goofy’s house.
Joy will give you another Memory Orb to check. “Use” the Memory Orb from your inventory to view the memory.
Missing Object Answer
The boot in the bottom right-hand section of the memory is missing from Goofy’s house.
Compare the memory to Goofy’s house to find out what’s missing. Talk to Joy once you’ve figured it out.
Interact at the location where the object used to be. Pick up the clue from your investigation.
Talk to Joy to give her the evidence. This will complete the ‘Memory Mania: Mystery #2’ quest.
Memory Mania: Mystery #3
Begin the ‘Memory Mania: Mystery #3’ by talking to Joy once she has the quest available. You can check in the ‘Quests’ section of the main menu to see if her icon appears in the ‘Daily Quests’ section.
Meet her inside Mickey Mouse’s house to investigate another missing item. Talk to Joy to get the memory orb related to the situation.
“Use” the memory orb from your inventory to view the memory. Search the picture in the memory, and Mickey’s house to find out what was taken.
Missing Object Answer
The picture (photo frame) near the fridge was removed.
Once you know what’s missing, talk to Joy to let her know. Interact at the location where the object used to be to find a clue.
Pick up the clue then return to Joy and talk to her to give her the clue. This will complete the ‘Memory Mania: Mystery #3’ quest.
Memory Mania Mystery: Finale!
After you complete the ‘Memory Mania: Mystery #3’ quest, the next quest Joy should have for you is the ‘Memory Mania Mystery: Finale!’ quest. Talk to her to begin the quest.
She’s found some clues of her own and wants to visit the Cursed Cave to see if the suspect is hiding inside. There is a trail of black feathers to follow at Dazzle Beach on your way to the cave.
Listen to the conversation between Joy and the suspect. Return to the village and talk to Joy about the situation.
You’ll receive the Deep Dark Secret Goose companion from Joy. This will complete the quest chain.
Rewards
There is only one new reward this year, which is the Deep Dark Secret Goose companion. Solving Joy’s set of mystery-related quests will give you the reward.
