Jasmine has had some time now to work on a way to open the Secret Journal. She has an idea, but needs your help.
Get closer to solving one mystery in Disney Dreamlight Valley by helping Jasmine with her task. Don’t forget to have a bit of fun in the sun while you do, though.
Prerequisites For The ‘A Sandy Competition’ Quest
To get the ‘A Sandy Competition’, you’ll need to do the following first:
- Have Jasmine at friendship level 4 or higher.
- Progress with Mother Gothel.
- Unlock the following characters:
- Moana
- Maui
- Unlock the following biomes:
- Glade of Trust
- Dazzle Beach
You can check the status of the quest any time in the main menu ‘Quests’ section. It will show a Jasmine icon.
Talk To Jasmine
To get started with the ‘A Sandy Competition’ quest, talk to Jasmine. She has deciphered some information about the Secret Journal, but she needs help from an expert regarding the sea.
Talk to Moana about Sea Sand Sparks. Gather the following materials:
- 5 Softwood
- 5 Fiber
- 3 Sand
- 1 Aquarmarine
Once you have the materials, bring them to Moana. Talk to her to give her the materials.
Use the ‘Furniture’ mode from your inventory to place the Sea Sand Torch Moana gave you. There should be a Jasmine shortcut icon at the top of the decorating menu.
Use it to quickly find the Sea Sand Torch and then place it somewhere on Dazzle Beach. Talk to Jasmine after you place the Sea Sand Torch.
Meet Jasmine at Dazzle Beach and talk to her when you arrive. She’ll give you the Sea Sand Sparks that she collects.
Talk to Maui about the Special Starfish Jasmine needs. Talk to Jasmine about the competition Maui proposed.
Follow Jasmine and listen to the conversation between her and Maui. You’ll need to craft a Sandcastle Kit for the competition.
Collect the following materials for the competition:
- 50 Sand
- 7 Seaweed
- 14 Clay
Once you’ve gathered all the materials, craft the following:
- 4 Sand towers
- 3 Sand walls
- 1 Sand door
The proper crafting amounts for each piece of the Sandcastle Kit will automatically fill in on the crafting interface. You should be able to find the kit pieces on the ‘Furniture’ tab of the crafting recipes.
Talk to Jasmine when you’re done crafting. Use the ‘Furniture’ mode in the inventory screen to decorate Dazzle Beach with the pieces you crafted and the Castle centerpiece Jasmine gave you.
Use the Jasmine icon in the ‘Furniture’ mode to quickly access the Sandcastle pieces. Talk to Maui once you’ve placed all the pieces.
Craft the Beach Key at any Crafting Station. You’ll find the recipe for The Beach Key in the ‘Functional Items’ tab of the crafting recipes.
Enter Jasmine and Aladdin’s house and interact with the large flower to use the key. Talk to Jasmine to complete the quest.
