If you’ve been waiting to welcome Cinderella to your Disney Dreamlight Valley game, the time has finally come. There are mysterious things afoot in the valley, as usual.
Find out how you can get the quest to welcome Cinderella. You may just receive some guidance from the Fairy Godmother herself!
Prerequisites For ‘The Pumpkin And The Princess’ Quest
In order to get ‘The Pumpkin And The Princess’ quest, you’ll need to do the following:
- Complete the beginning Dreamlight Valley quests.
- Have access to the Forgotten Lands.
- Have the Fairy Godmother unlocked.
- Complete the ‘Miracles Take Time’ quest.
- Check your in-game mail for a quest letter.
- Find Cinderella’s glass slipper. (Most likely in the Plaza)
You can check the status of the quest once you have it by visiting the main menu. The ‘Quests’ section will show the quest with a Fairy Godmother icon.
Find The Lost Shoe
To officially get the quest, you first need to find a lost shoe. It should be somewhere in the Plaza, near the stairway to Peaceful Meadow.
Once you collect the shoe, you’ll automatically receive the quest. You’ll need to make sure the shoe is in your inventory and then visit the Fairy Godmother in her house.
Talk to the Fairy Godmother to show her the lost shoe. You’ll need a special Wish Enchantment to find Princess Cinderella. Gather the following materials for the enchantment:
- 5 Ginger
- 5 Gooseberry
- 1 Orange Nasturtium
- 1 Diamond
When you have all the materials visit a crafting station. You’ll find the Wish Enchantment recipe in the ‘Potion & Enchantment‘ section of crafting recipes.
Use the Wish Enchantment from your inventory to apply it to your Royal Watering Can. Return to the Fairy Godmother’s house to talk about the Small Spell Pumpkin.
The Fairy Godmother gives you the Small Spell Pumpkin. You’ll need to plant it somewhere in the valley and water it.
The pumpkin should grow in about 15 minutes. Once it’s fully grown you can harvest it.
Talk to the Fairy Godmother after you harvest the pumpkin. Head to the Chez Remy restaurant to talk to Remy.
Return to the Fairy Godmother and talk to her about the Spell Pumpkin. You’ll need to place Cinderella’s house somewhere in Dreamlight Valley.
In the ‘Furniture’ mode of your inventory menu, you’ll find a shortcut icon of the Fairy Godmother. You can access Cinderella’s house using the shortcut.
Once the house area is placed, interact with the construction sign to finish the house. You’ll need 15,000 star coins to complete the house.
After Cinderella’s house is finished, you’ll need to place the Spell Pumpkin near the Plaza wishing well. Around the pumpkin, you’ll need to place 8 pieces of ‘Elegant’ furniture in white, yellow, or blue colors.
There will be two shortcut icons when you enter the ‘Furniture’ mode this time. The second one (the one on the right) will allow you to find the Spell Pumpkin quickly.
The first icon will be anything you’ve collected that matches the categories for furniture. You’ll need to find pieces that are both elegant, and the appropriate color. Place the 8 pieces of furniture around the Spell Pumpkin.
You also may need to place items relatively close to the Spell Pumpkin. The Spell Pumpkin itself is best to place on the pathways leading to the wishing well.
You’ll need enough room to be able to reach the Spell Pumpkin and interact with it. The quest is a bit particular about recognizing the placements.
If something doesn’t register, try removing and then re-adding the component. You can check the quest if you’re tracking it to see if it is properly counting items.
Once the items are placed properly, the quest will automatically update to the next task. You’re ready to interact with the Spell Pumpkin.
Talk to the Fairy Godmother to make sure everything went smoothly. This will end the quest.
