The time has come to try and eliminate the decay in Disney Dreamlight Valley once and for all. Now that you know the cause of the decay, you have the power to restore the Wishblossom Mountains.
Your friends at the Wishblossom Ranch are counting on you. Join Pegasus and prove you can go the distance to save the entirety of the Wishblossom Mountains.
Prerequisites For ‘The Decay’ Quest
To get ‘The Decay’ quest, you will need to do the following:
- Purchase the Wishblossom Ranch expansion.
- Complete the introductory Dreamlight Valley quests.
- Complete the introductory Wishblossom Ranch quests, including:
- ‘Crystal Cavern: Pixie Acres’
You can check the status of this quest once it is available. Visit the ‘Quests’ section in the main menu to keep track of quest tasks.
Talk To Tinker Bell
To start ‘The Decay’ quest, talk to Tinker Bell. You will have the option to do the quest later if you don’t have the time.
After you talk to Tinker Bell, she will suggest that you also talk to Snow White. You won’t be able to talk to her regarding the quest, however, until you’ve worked on your friendship level with Pegasus.
Get Pegasus to friendship level 5 or better. You can do the following activities to level your friendship:
- Riding
- Jumping obstacles
- Petting
- Brushing
- Feeding
- Specialized activity (mining, digging, harvesting, etc.)
- Normal Valley activities
Once your friendship with Pegasus reaches level 5, you can talk to Snow White. Snow White will give you a necklace, and tell you to talk to Cruella.
Cruella will give you a bracelet, and then send you to talk to Tigger. Tigger will have matching earrings to give you.
Equip your new good-luck charms:
- Hope Necklace
- Ambition Bracelet
- Dream Earrings
The ‘Wardrobe’ section of your inventory will allow you to equip the new accessories. You can use the Tinker Bell icon for a shortcut to the items you need to equip.
Talk to the Giant Wishblossm in the Wishblossom Heart. You’ll then automatically proceed to the floating islands that were mentioned during previous quests.
Once you’re there, break the decay crystals at the entrance to the island. There are a total of 3 crystals you need to break.
When you break all 3 crystals, you’ll unlock a wind tunnel. Use Pegasus’ abilities to fly to the first Crystal Island.
You’ll need to use the gallop feature to enter the wind tunnel. Once you’re at the first Crystal Island, you’ll have a conversation with a Hope Wishblossom.
After the conversation, you’ll need to destroy 5 decay crystals. Removing all the decay crystals will open another wind tunnel path.
Use Pegasus to get to the second Crystal Island. You’ll need to clear out 5 more decay crystals on the second island after speaking with the Ambition Wishblossom.
You’ll take the next wind tunnel to the third Crystal Island and speak to the Dream Wishblossom. Destroy 5 more decay crystals on the third island.
This will lead you to the final sequence of events. You’ll also experience credits after the cutscene.
After the credits, you’ll have a conversation with everyone and return automatically to the Wishblossom Heart. This will complete the quest and the main storyline of the Wishblossom Ranch expansion.
