The Merry Meadows is a beautiful area on Friendship Island, nestled behind a secret waterfall entrance. Once you unlock the area, you’ll have new items to collect, such as pollen and seeds.
There are plenty of areas to plant the seeds you find, but there’s also a mysterious machine near the Merry Meadows Plaza. Work with Wish Me Mell to uncover the truth about the machine.
Prerequisites For The ‘Green Thumbs’ Quest
To get the ‘Green Thumbs’ quest, you’ll need to do the following:
Complete ‘Curious Caverns’ quest.
Complete ‘A Long Awaited Introduction‘ quest.
Have Wish Me Mell at friendship level 6 or above.
Have access to Merry Meadows Plaza.
Once you’ve met the above requirements, you can talk to Wish Me Mell to begin the ‘Green Thumbs’ quest. You’ll find her standing next to the machine in Merry Meadows Plaza.
If you have any in-progress quests with Wish Me Mell, you may need to complete those before you can begin the quest. You can check the status of this quest in your quest log under ‘The Right Tools’ section.
Talk To Wish Me Mell
Wish Me Mell has stumbled upon a broken machine in the Merry Meadows. She’s intrigued about it, and wants to find out what it is supposed to do.
You know exactly the character to speak with for technological mysteries. It’s time to take Wish Me Mell to Chococat. She’ll automatically follow you.
Talk to Chococat to tell them about the latest mystery on Friendship Island. Luckily, Chococat has already explored the area and has an idea about what supplies could fix the machine.
You’ll need to gather the following supplies:
5 Coconuts
5 Spinips
5 Magma Blooms
Meet Wish Me Mell back in the Merry Meadows, and use the gift function to hand over the supplies once you’ve obtained everything.
Next it’s time to test Chococat’s hypothesis. You’ll need to have a flower to put into the machine.
To interact with the machine, you’ll approach it until you see a flower icon in the bottom right corner of your screen. After you put a flower into the machine, talk with Wish Me Mell about the results.
Chococat hints that they believe there is another purpose for the Merry Meadows machine, but wants Wish Me Mell to try and figure it out. This ends the quest.
